Argentine film directors: Daniel Burman

Critical study on THE FILM "EL ABRAZO PARTIDO"
Director Daniel Burman
Paula Croci

This note is part of what the journalist

MARY IRIBARREN said about the book.

The study or analysis of a film, an author or filmmaker , can illuminate the object in question but at the same time , you can project the light of other similar examples .

When the work of Paula C. system tries to unravel the Embrace , the first thing that happens is left uncovered two dimensions in which the film occurs, in which the film is made Material : being language (ie toolbox of formal , rhetoric and style ) and being device (ie , sensory stimulation , and consequently and simultaneously , the particular way in which that stimulus impacts and is perceived by the viewer , how it shoots or closing the imagination , memory or emotion ) .

Embrace is perhaps the most complex of the films that make up " the trilogy of Ariel " - also comprised Waiting for the Messiah and Family Law , the three starring Daniel Hendler plays Ariel Goldstein that , at first , to Ariel Makaroff in the second , and Ariel Perelman in the third - , and is complexity is that this film requires and deserves a generous space for reflection .

I say trilogy because I adhere to the hypothesis of Paula C. : Waiting for the Messiah first , then Embrace and finally , in family law the author is opened and closed " the search for identity , also the origin of certain truths and, crucially, a father " , putting it in the toils of a young Jewish -Argentinian could well be the same in different life circumstances .
